Purple Posies

This bundle is one of my favorites from the September OnLine Exclusives, the sentiments are simple and sweet and the dies - little leaves, flowers, acorns and a good-sized label (2 1/4 x 3 1/2), what else could you want. See all the Exclusives here.


 I paired it with the Irresistible Designs Specialty Paper. This paper has three different designs, leaves (shown), blossoms, and plaid. To use it color over it with a blending brush, gently wipe and the design shows through.

Cutting
Blackberry Bliss: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4, 1 3/4 x 3
Basic White: 5 1/4 x 4, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2
Irresistible Designs: 5 1/4 x 3 3/4
Highland Heather: 1 1/2 x 3
Lemon Lime Twist: 2 x 2 3/4

Assembly
Score, fold and burnish the card base, adhere Basic White to the inside of the card base.
Do all the die cutting, Basic White - label, Blackberry Bliss - 2 sets of leaves, Highland Heather - 2 flowers, Lemon Lime Twist - 2 long leaves
With a Blending Brush add Blackberry Bliss Ink to the Irresistible Designs, focusing darker color toward the center. Adhere to card base.
Stamp the sentiment on the Basic White Label with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Adhere to the Irresistible Paper
Arrange the leaves and flowers around the Basic White Label and adhere to the card front.
Top the flowers with Iridescent Pearls

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink. Criss Cross and a Fun Fold

This fun fold has a special element on the card front. I selected the sheet of Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper to use on this card because the Granny Apple Green/Berry Brust color combo made me happy.  Score and burnish the Berry Burst cardstock.  On the Basic White cardstock stamp stem from Pretty Florals using Granny Apple Green ink. Next ink up the solid blossom stamp in Berry Burst and stamp off before stamping over the stem. Ink the lined blossom stamp in Berry Burst and stamp full strength over the solid image. Insert this piece inside the card base.  Adhere the larger piece of Designer Series Paper on the inside of the right flap. Adhere the two other pieces on the front and inside of the left flap.  Fold three pieces of the Designer Series Paper strips as shown and fold the other two in the opposite direction.
