Christmas or Thinking of You

I let the Designer Series Paper do the hard work with this card. Depending on the sentiment you select it can be a holiday card or a card to a friend.  The Traditions of Christmas Paper has versatile holiday themed images to select from. For this card I chose the sheet with flower sprays of multiple colors and die cut the image.  

Cutting

Real Red: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4

Basic White: (2) 4 x 5 1/4. 1/4 x 4

Gold Foil: 4 x 2 1/4

Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper pattern 1: 3 7/8 x 2 1/8

Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper pattern 2: Die cut flower spray

Assembly

Fold and burnish score line, adhere 1 piece of the Basic White cardstock inside the card base

Emboss the other piece of Basic White with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder. Adhere to card front

Adhere Designer Series Paper 1 to the Gold Foil. Attach this to the center of the card front.

Adhere the floral spray using Dimensionals on the right side of the Designer Series Paper/Gold Foil already on the card base

Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black Ink on the Basic White strip, may need to be trimmed. Place Dimensionals on the back and attach over the flower spray

Top the card with the gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper.
