Autumn Wishes

Ready for fall colors and cooler weather, Stampin' Up! has a product suite for you, Gathering Together is part of the September Online Exclusives. The stamp set features small leaves, an acorn, a mushroom and lovely sentiments; the dies showcase two large leaves and dies to match the items from the stamp set. If Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Old Olive are favorite colors the Designer Series Paper is what you want for your fall cards.

The card features a layout I use often because it shows off the Designer Series Paper. 


Cutting

Cajun Craze: 7 1/2 x 5 1/5, score at 4 1/4

Basic White: 2 1/4 x 1 1/4

Early Espresso: 2 3/8 x 1 3/8

Gather Together Designer Series Paper 1: 5 1/4 x 3

Gather Together Designer Series Paper 2: 5 1/4 x 1

Cajun Craze Two-Toned Paper: 4 x 4

Assembly

Fold and burnish card base. 

Attach the Gather Together Designer Series Paper (2) strip to the Basic White and adhere to the inside of the card.

Adhere the Gather Together Designer Series Paper (1) to the front flap of the card base. 

Die cut the large maple leaf from the Two-Toned Cardstock.

Run the die cut through the Gathering Together Embossing Folder. Highlight the die cut with the sanding tool over the embossed image. 

Attach to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment on the Basic White rectangle with Early Espresso ink. 

Ink up the "plaid" image, stamp off and then stamp several generations of the image over the sentiment with Crumb Cake Ink. 

Attach to the Early Espresso Cardstock. Attach this on top of the leave with Dimensionals.

Tie a small bow with Early Espresso Linen Twine, adhere under the corner of the sentiment. 

Top with Cajun Craze & Gold Dots

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper.
