Amber Autumn Birthday

Another fall themed card from my Open House, it features the new Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper. This paper package has twelve sheets, as always, but has four double sided patterns with 3 sheets each. I like this packaging; it is better for me when I cut kits for you. 

The card is made with a layout you can use for any paper/die cut combination you have in your stash. 

Cutting

 Very Vanilla: 5 ½ x 8 ½ (score at 4 ¼), 1 x 4

Mossy Meadow:1 x 2

Cajun Craze: 1 x 2

Pecan Pie: 1 x 2 ¼

Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper 1: 4 x 5 ¼

Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper 2: 3 x 3

Assembly

Score, fold and burnish card base

·     Adhere Designer Series Paper 1 to the front of the card base.

·    Using the second largest dot/dash die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies, cut a circle from Designer Series Paper 2. Adhere to lower right of card front.

·     Stamp sentiment on Very Vanilla strip, use Stylish Shaper Banner Die to cut it out.

·     Attach the label to the circle die with Dimensionals. Die cut one leave from Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze, and grass tuft from Pecan Pie. Adhere behind the die cut label. 

·    Top the card off with Streaked Dots.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Criss Cross and a Fun Fold

This fun fold has a special element on the card front. I selected the sheet of Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper to use on this card because the Granny Apple Green/Berry Brust color combo made me happy.  Score and burnish the Berry Burst cardstock.  On the Basic White cardstock stamp stem from Pretty Florals using Granny Apple Green ink. Next ink up the solid blossom stamp in Berry Burst and stamp off before stamping over the stem. Ink the lined blossom stamp in Berry Burst and stamp full strength over the solid image. Insert this piece inside the card base.  Adhere the larger piece of Designer Series Paper on the inside of the right flap. Adhere the two other pieces on the front and inside of the left flap.  Fold three pieces of the Designer Series Paper strips as shown and fold the other two in the opposite direction.
