So Many Candles

We are all entering the time in our lives that a birthday card needs a humorous sentiment and Stampin' Up! created a stamp set to meet that need, "Not 29 Anymore". The sentiments are the best - Free Cake.... I mean....;Here's to another year of questionable decisions; let's get this party started...so I can be home by 9:00, the others in the set are just as funny. Here is the card we made, it is a big one, it measures 5 1/4 x 10.

The card folded up to fit in a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 envelope

The little candles from Sweet Jar add the perfect image to the card.

The card is easy to put together. Pick a favorite color and get ready to send a smile to someone.

Sending summer sunshine to you

Cutting

Two-Toned Petunia Pop Cardstock: 2 3/8 x 5 1/4

Petunia Pop: 10 x 5 3/8 (score at 2 1/2 & 5)

Basic White: 10 x 3 1/2 (score at 2 1/2 & 5)

Assembly

Cut and score Petunia Pop card base

Use and embossing folder on the Two-Tones pieces. I used a retired embossing folder.  Adhere these pieces to the ends of the card base, leaving a small margin.

Stamp So.Many.Candles on the 5-inch side of the Basic White card stock using Memento Black ink. When stamping Happy Birthday make sure the 2 1/2-inch score line goes between Happy and Birthday.

Stamp the group of three candles and the single candle across the bottom of the Basic White with Petunia Pop ink. Stamp the flames using Darling Duckling ink. I stamped all the group of three candles first, cleaned the stamp and inked up a single flame to go on top of the single candles.

Attach the Basis White card stock to the card base.
