Jolly Card Design

I am enjoying the Jolly Holly Bundle and when I saw this card layout from another SU Demo, I knew I had to show it to you.

 It opens like this.
Love the new "Need for Tweed" Designer Series Paper. How does Stampin' Up! keep coming up with new ideas every month?

The stampers really liked this card on Saturday.

Grab a card from your stash and sent it to someone, they will be thrilled to hear from you!

Cutting

Basic White: 5 1/4 x 2 3/4, 3 1/8 x 3 3/4 (cut the 2 rectangles), scrap for stamping and die cutting 2 branches and 1 set of holly

Old Olive: 4 1/4 x 11 (score at 5 1/2), 5 1/4 x 2 3/4 (holly embossing folder)

Need for Tweed DSP: 5 1/4 x 1

Assembly

Fold on the score line and burnish the fold, this helps the card lay flat.

Cut up to the score line on the right side at 1 1/2. Adhere this 1 1/2 flap to the card base.

Attach the Designer Series Paper strip over the flap.

On Basic White stamp the sentiment and adhere inside the card.

Emboss the Old Olive rectangle with the Jolly Holly folder and adhere to the card front.

On the smaller Basic White die cut rectangle stamp the sentiment. Spatter with the brush end of the Cherry Cobbler Blend.

Stamp two branches and 1 set of holly leaves in Memento Black, die cut and color with the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends.

With the larger die cut rectangle fold the Mossy Meadow Ribbon over it with the loose ends at the top. Keep the ribbon to the left side of the rectangle.

Attach the ribbon to the Basic White with Scotch Tape on both sides. This will help the next few steps and will not show when the card is finished.

Tie the Real Red & Basic White Bakers Twine around the Mossy Meadow ribbon, keeping it close to Basic White die cut.

Put Dimensionals on the back of the stamped rectangle and attach over the larger rectangle.

Put adhesive on the back of this piece on the right side of the ribbon and attach to the embossed flap, keeping the adhesive off the Designer Series Paper side.

Adhere the ends of the branches and insert them between the rectangles. Adhere the holly near the ribbon.

Finish the card with clear Opal Rounds
