Shimmer Butterfly

 If you are like me, you may have some paper with a pretty floral pattern🤣

Time to get a sheet of it out and create some cards with your butterfly dies. I used Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper and Calypso Coral to create a summer feel to the card. To get the "shimmer" use Wink of Stella on the butterfly bodies.

Cutting
Crumb Cake: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (score at 4 1/4)
Strawberry Slush: 3 3/4 x 4 1/2, scrap for sentiment
Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper: 3 1/2 x 4 1/4, 3/4 x 4
Basic White: 4 x 4 (die cut butterflies)
Secret Sea: 1 x 4 1/2 (die cut bodies)

Assembly
  • Fold and burnish score line with your bone folder.
  • Attach small strip of Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper to the Basic White. Adhere this to the inside of the card base. 
  • Adhere the other piece of Floral Impressions Designer series Paper to the Calypso Coral card stock and then attach to the card front.
  • Die cut the butterflies and bodies.
  • Add Wink of Stella to the bodies. When dry attach the bodies to the butterflies.
  • Attach the butterflies to the Designer Series Paper with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Versa Mark and cover with White Embossing Powder. Use Heat Tool to set the powder and trim out. Adhere to card front with Dimensionals. Add Iridescent Foil Gems across the card front.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
