Floral Everything!

Darling Duckling and Strawberry Slush are best friends in my card making world. I used Flower Garden Foils for the left side of the card; it comes embossed with two different patterns and in three colors. 


The layout is simple and quick to put together.

Cutting

Darling Duckling: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

Flower Garden Foils (Strawberry Slush): 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper:  2 1/2 x 5 1/4

Basic White" 5 1/4 x 4, 3 1/2 x 2 (die cut rectangle), 2 x 4 (stamp and die cut flowers and stems

Assembly

Fold and burnish card base, insert Basic White inside.

Adhere Foil paper on the left side of the card front leaving a margin. Adhere DSP to the right side. 

Stamp the sentiment to the right side of die cut using Strawberry Slush ink. 

On the other piece of Basic White stamp the flower detail in full Darling Duckling ink, ink and stamp off the blossom stamp and stamp over the detail image. Stamp the stem in Lemon Lime Twist ink. Die cut images. Adhere the blossoms on the stems and attach to the card with Dimensionals.

Top with Strawberry Slush gems to finish the card.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Criss Cross and a Fun Fold

This fun fold has a special element on the card front. I selected the sheet of Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper to use on this card because the Granny Apple Green/Berry Brust color combo made me happy.  Score and burnish the Berry Burst cardstock.  On the Basic White cardstock stamp stem from Pretty Florals using Granny Apple Green ink. Next ink up the solid blossom stamp in Berry Burst and stamp off before stamping over the stem. Ink the lined blossom stamp in Berry Burst and stamp full strength over the solid image. Insert this piece inside the card base.  Adhere the larger piece of Designer Series Paper on the inside of the right flap. Adhere the two other pieces on the front and inside of the left flap.  Fold three pieces of the Designer Series Paper strips as shown and fold the other two in the opposite direction.
