Little Bird

I was looking through my packages of Designer Series Paper for inspiration and hit on Nests of Winter and found I had already cut many little birds from the paper. Those little chickadees are CUTE. Then laid out the sheets of paper and liked the woodsy papers, which lead me to the Birch Embossing folder. Lastly, I pulled cardstock to use as a mat, and I went for my fall go to color Cajun Craze. And this card is the outcome.

I think it is adorable and hope you do also.

Here are the Cutting Instructions

Thick Basic White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

Cajun Craze - 5 x 3 3/4, (2) 1/4 x 4, 1 x 2 1/2 for stamping

Basic White 1 1/2 x 4 1/4

Nests of Winter Pattern 1 - 4 7/8 x 3 5/8

Nests of Winter Pattern 2 - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4

Nests of Winter Pattern 3 - fussy cut a single bird

Assembly

Fold and burnish the Thick Basic White card base

Emboss the Basic White cardstock with the Birch Embossing Folder.

Punch a 2-inch circle

Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark on the small Cajun Craze cardstock and heat emboss.

Attach the largest piece of Nests of Winter to the Cajun Craze and then to the card base.

Lay one of the thin Cajun Craze pieces horizontally across the center of the card.  Attach the birch embossed cardstock to the right center of the card, over the Cajun Craze strip. Top this with the other thin Cajun Craze strip. Adhere the punched circle of this element.

Fussy cut the sentiment and attach to the card

Pop up the fussy cut bird with Dimensonal and add Earth Tone Shimmer Gems to finish off the card.

Take care my friends!!

Cindy
