Some people are so cleaver and can see other uses for dies other than the intended use. A fellow demonstrator saw a window in the frame of the Sophisticated Sled die and I had to case it for you.
How cute is this!! I used Winter Meadow DSP, that will be on sale August 6 - 31, 2024, 15% off. The DSP was a favorite from last year, the green and blue colors make me happy!
Cutting
Blueberry Bushel: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4, 3 x 4 1/2
Lost Lagoon: 2 1/8 x 5 1/4
Basic White: 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (die cut wreath), 5 1/4 x 4
Smoky Slate: 2 x3 1/2, scrap for sentiment
Winter Meadow DSP: 2 1/8 x 5 1/4
Assembly
Fold Blueberry Bushel card base in half and adhere the Basic White rectangle to the inside.
Randomly stamp Lost Lagoon Snowflakes on the Lost Lagoon cardstock, attach to the right side of the card front, leaving border. Attach the DSP to the left side of the card front, these pieces may overlap in the center.
Run the small Basic White rectangle through the Stampin Cut and Emboss, I used the Birch embossing folder that will be available in September when the next Mini Catalog is released. Attach to the Blueberry Bushel rectangle and then to the card face with Dimensionals.
Die cut out the sled rails from Smoky Slate and the windowpanes from the Winter Meadow DSP. Before attaching the sled/ window to the Basic White, trim off the bottom rails, insert the windowpanes.
Stamp the wreath using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers.
I colored the berries blue, there are three different typed of leaves, I colored each style with a separate color. I have the new style Stampin' Write Markers, they are a HUGE improvement over the previous Markers, the bullet end actually colors/has ink in it! Cut out with the coordinating die and cover the colored areas with Wink of Stella. Attach to the window with Dimensionals.
Tie a loose knot and attach it to the window top with a couple of Glue Dot, the ribbon has an iridescent finish and needs the extra stickiness.
Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of Smoky Slate and attach it to the bottom of the window.
I hope you enjoy this alternative version of the Sled
