Aspen Grove

There are days we need a hint of spring; winter drab gets to us all. Aspen Grove meets the need. I used one of my favorite colors, Afternoon Azure.

Masking Paper and Blending Brushes help create an easy card front.

Cutting
Azure Afternoon - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Basic White - (2) 5 1/4 x 4, 3 x 3/4

Assembly
Attach all the tree trunks to a large block, leaving space between the trunks.

On 1 of the Basic White pieces stamp the right end tree to the left side of the card stock in Tuxedo Black Ink. Use Lemon Lime Twist and stamp the leaves, inking once and stamping several times to get generations of color.

Stamp the trunks on the other Basic White paper, have the bottoms of the trunks stamp off the bottom end of the paper. Stamp the trunks again on a piece of Masking Paper, and trim out the trunks, remove the backing and rub on your clothes to remove the stickiness, then adhere over the trunks. Ink up the Blending Brush in Afternoon Azure ink and start off the card stock and color the card stock, you should get a light and dark look. Remove the mask and stamp the leaves with the same ink as the inside and same technique.

Wrap the Black Bakers Twine around the lower end of the card stock, attach with regular tape on the back side. Attach to the card base with Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment in Afternoon Azure Ink, use the Pick a Punch to flag the ends, attach to the card with Dimensionals.

Finish the card off with Green Hexagons.

Enjoy today!
