World Card Making Day 2025

Yesterday was World Card Making Day and I celebrated the day with my stamping friends.

We made five cards and snacked on a caramel apple bar, used an apple cutter, poured warm caramel on the apples and added toppings including Mimi M & M's, Mini Chocolate Chips, Toffee pieces, chopped walnuts and chopped peanuts; YUM.

Here is one of the cards we made

A nice fall themed card that can be used for any occasion. I picked a thinking you stamp from the Branching Out stamp set and the leaves and acorn from the Gathering Moments Bundle.

This card features a frame created from using two Textured Notes Dies - this is a must have die set! The Irregular Weave Ribbon adds to the "fall" theme of the card.

Here are the card details

Cutting

Very Vanilla – 5 ½ x 8 ½, score at 4 ¼, ¾ x 4, 2 x 4

Early Espresso – 5 ½ x 4 ¼

Crushed Curry – 2 ½ x 4

Gathering Moments Designer Series Paper – 2 ¾ x 4 ¼

Assembly

Score, fold and burnish Very Vanilla card base

Die cut the Early Espresso using the largest Textured Notes die and adhere to the card base

Adhere the Gathering Moments Designer Series Paper on top of the Early Espresso card stock

Die cut the Crushed Curry frame using the third and fourth largest Textured Notes dies. Adhere to the card base with Dimensionals

Stamp the sentiment using Early Espresso ink on the 3/4 inch Very Vanilla strip, stamping on the right side of the strip. Attach to the card base over the frame using Dimensionals

Using 13” of Irregular Weave ribbon tie a big looped bow and attach to the sentiment strip with a Glue Dot

Stamp the leaf in Crushed Curry, round leaf in Cajun Craze and the acorn in Early Espresso, die cut and adhere over the ribbon bow using Multi-Purpose Glue and Mini Dimensionals

Finish off the card with Cajun Craze & Gold Dots

I hope you enjoy this card and create your own.
