Sweet Jar

I saw this adorable bundle in the Annual Catalog and put it on my wish list, then the July Online Exclusives were released, and it contained a coordinating stamp set and I moved it up to my yes list. The cute images that fit in the jar - shamrocks, Valentines and great sentiments plus a punch!

Here is Saturday's card

I used one of my favorite Designer Series Papers - Floral in Bloom and a summer color combo that makes me happy, Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo. Expect to see move from this bundle.

Cutting 

Calypso Coral - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (score at 4 1/4), 3 pieces at 4 x 1 1/8 and a scrap for the lid

Flirty Flamingo - 5 1/4 x 4

Basic White - 2 x 2 1/4, 1 x 3 1/4 (die cut banner), 5 1/4 x 4

Floral In Bloom Designer Series Paper - 3 different patterns, each at 1 x 4, 1/2 x 4 for inside border

Assembly

Score and burnish card base, attach thin Designer Series Paper to Basic White and adhere to the inside of the card base.

Adhere Designer Series Paper strips to the Calypso Coral strips Adhere these strips to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock.


Next attach the strips to the Flirty Flamingo card stock leaving a thin space between each strip, leaving a 1-inch space at the bottom of the cardstock. Adhere this to the card base.

Stamp the jar on the Basic White square with Tuxedo Black Ink, punch out the jar. Stamp the sentiment using the same ink.

Stamp the set of three candles, two times inside the jar and the single candle once using Calypso Coral ink. Stamp the flames on the candles in Daffodil Delight ink.  Stamp the lid with the Calypso Coral on the Calypso Coral Scrap, punch the lid out. 

Attach the jar and lit to the card front with Dimensionals. Attach the sentiment banner using adhesive on the left side and Dimensionals on the right. 

Top the card with Rhinestones and you have a birthday card to send to someone special.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
