November Open House Cards

I want to share a card we made on Saturday; I kept a fall theme for the most part but did include a Holiday card. Card One featured the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper that is a host reward from the July-December Mini Catalog, I also used the detailed die cut from Autumn Bouquet as a color layer. The stick wreath from Cottage Wreaths was stamped in Soft Suede on Basic White Card Stock. We then made an ink pad from a baby wipe using Garden Green, Real Red and Crushed Curry, we then stamped the leave image on the wreath and fussy cut the wreath. I used a sentiment from Perched in a Tree and stamped it in Soft Suede on a Stitched Rectangle. The layers of the card are attached to each other, and the wreath and sentiment have dimensionals to pop it up.



Here is the baby wipe "ink pad" with the oldest bottle of ink refill from my stash.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
