February Open House Card #1

Hi Stamper!!

I want to share the cards we made at Saturday's monthly open house. Card 1 is a old technique with a new twist. 

I call the technique Triple Level Stamping. The twist was the way the layers are cut, I did not use the typical rectangles, each layer was a different size. 

The Very Vanilla layers are lightly adhered to each other and stamped multiple time with the large flower from the Flowing Flowers set. Next cover each of the stamped flowers with Wink of Stella.

Carefully take the Very Vanilla layers apart and attach them to the Highland Heather cardstock, then to each other matching the stamped flowers. 

Stamp the sentiment, this stamp set has several sentiments with nice fonts. I chose this sentiment because it is true that a card trumps a text everyday.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
