Puzzle Front Card

Image
I follow a Stampin' Up! Demo, Kayla Renee because her use of color and unique designs that inspire me. This card is a case of a recent blog post. The card has a lot of tiny measurements, you could make a simpler version easily; but I love the layers.  It is a center open card, here is the open view. In designing my card, I knew I wanted to use the Frosted Forest Stencils and had to select a Designer Series Paper that would look provide an accent. I picked a carryover paper Natures Sweetness, because of the gold tone and earthy look.  Cutting Old Olive: 4 1/4 x 9 1/2, score at 1 & 2 inches form each end, (2) 3 1/8 x 2,     (2) 2 1/8 x 2 Basic Beige: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, then cut down the middle the long way at 2 1/8, then cut each piece at 3 1/4. ** insert picture Designer Series Paper Pattern 1: (2) 3 x 1 7/8 Designer Series Paper Pattern 2: (2) 2 x 1 7/8 Designer Series Paper Pattern 3: I used the reverse of Pattern 1, 3/4 x 5 1/4 Basic White: 5 1/4 x 4, 3...

Window Pane Wreath

Image
Some people are so cleaver and can see other uses for dies other than the intended use. A fellow demonstrator saw a window in the frame of the Sophisticated Sled die and I had to case it for you. How cute is this!! I used Winter Meadow DSP, that will be on sale August 6 - 31, 2024, 15% off. The DSP was a favorite from last year, the green and blue colors make me happy! Cutting Blueberry Bushel: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4, 3 x 4 1/2 Lost Lagoon: 2 1/8 x 5 1/4 Basic White: 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (die cut wreath), 5 1/4 x 4 Smoky Slate: 2 x3 1/2, scrap for sentiment Winter Meadow DSP: 2 1/8 x 5 1/4 Assembly Fold Blueberry Bushel card base in half and adhere the Basic White rectangle to the inside. Randomly stamp Lost Lagoon Snowflakes on the Lost Lagoon cardstock, attach to the right side of the card front, leaving border. Attach the DSP to the left side of the card front, these pieces may overlap in the center. Run the small Basic White rectangle through the Stampin Cut and Embos...

First Pumpkin Patch of the Season

Image
At my recent monthly open house, I featured a lot of July Online Exclusive products. The first being Scenic Pumpkin Patch. The stamped images will let you create your own Patch. You can also use the Trucking Along (162299) stamp set to add a cute truck to your scene. To start the sentiment label, I selected Greetings of the Season dies and the Seaside Wishes stamp set. To recreate the card, die cut the largest Deckle Rectangle, biggest label and oval label from Very Vanilla Cardstock. Ink up the "grass" stamp in Soft Seafoam ink and stamp the lower edges of the rectangle and big label Using Pebbled Path ink, stamp the fence, try to get it to sit on the grass, not above it, and dotty spots on the rectangle and on the large label sides above the grass. Ink up the pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie and touch the bottoms and sides of the stamp with the Copper Clay Stampin' Write Marker to create a shady look. Set them in the grass. Do the same with the single pumpkin and stamp it on t...

Iconic Celebration

Image
Every once in a while, Stampin' Up! produces a bundle with multiple event images and dies, kind of you one go to set, Iconic Imagery is that set. Birthday, fall, winter you are covered.  I cased another idea from a fellow demonstrator to create this "fun fold flap" card. Cutting Crumb Cake: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4 Cajun Craze: 3 x4 Iconic Celebration DSP: 2 3/4 x 3 3/4, (2) 1 x 4 Basic White: 3 x4, 3 3/4x 2 (Label), scraps for leaves Assembly Adhere the 1 x 4 strips to the sides of the Crumb Cake rectangle, leaving a little margin on the sides.  Fold the other Crumb Cake cardstock and adhere between the DSP strips, this will fit top to bottom. Adhere the Basic White to the inside of the flap. Adhere the DSP to the Cajun Craze and then to the flap, the sheet of DSP I used has great patterns on either side, pick pumpkins or plaid! Die cut the large label and stamp the sentiment in Cajun Craze, attach to the flap with dimensional in the center. I stamped ...
