Shared inspiration

It has taken me a while to recover from my vacay/family reunion/positive COVID test to get back in my craft room. 

Doug and I showed William and Lorelei all the west river attractions, they had a great time. Here they are at our first stop, Dignity at Chamberlain.

 A few weeks ago my sister, Dianne posted a "shuffle card" idea with her customers, I filled it under Get To It Sometime. Last night cruising blogs, and saw a similar idea from Stamping with Kristi. I have the Happy Forrest Friends Designer Series Paper and thought this would make adorable kids birthday cards and you do not even need the coordinating stamp set.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
