He's All That

I have a hard time coming up with guy card ideas, I usually do not purchase the outdoor themed stamp sets/designer series paper. But when I saw He's All That, page 78/79 in the new annual catalog, I had found a collection I could use. It has a little bit of everything for a guy, he can be a car dude, BBQ cook, enjoy a adult beverage and much more. The stamp set has nice images and sentiments, the dies - oh the argyle and banners are a must have. The designer series paper is in earthy color and I found a paper to fit all the guys in my life, the page of die cuts included makes card designing easy and if you scrapbook they will make a page pop. 

Here are a few cards I have "cased" and will be using for summer guy events.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
