Sweet Valentine

Sending Valentine's to my grandchildren, hubby, kids and nephews make me happy and this simple card will be in the mail this year. The hearts remind me of the candy we gave as children, but with updated sayings. I adore the little envelope, think of all the greeting you can tuck in it and send along. Loving the Designer Series Paper, one side is hearts, the other side is subtle colors that can be used of other occasions. Oh, and the Iridescent Rhinestones finish the card perfectly.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
