Sunday Cards

Yesterday I looked through my Word Doc that I keep card ideas on and Flowers for Every Season caught my eye again. I pulled out the DSP and found patterns I liked, embossing folders and dies to match. I loved the results and hope you do also. 

 These two cards feature the Greenery Embossing folders and Stitched So Sweetly dies, I added the Bumble Bee Gingham ribbon and In Color Enamel dots.

 More Gingham ribbon, Stitched So Sweetly dies and In Color Dots. I used the Ornate Thanks stamp set.
 What a great way to use up your off cuts of any DSP, I added the Sunflower and Stiched So Sweetly die.

 And because it is Flowers for every season, had to make a couple Poinsettia cards. I colored the crinkle white ribbon with the Dark Poppy Parade Blend, they dry instantly and do not rub off on your hand. I wish I had 10 more sheets of this paper, but I will have to use the New Poinsettia Paper in the future.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
