Poppy Workshop

Several stampers joined me Saturday for my Poppy Event. Their event packet contained the Peaceful Poppy DSP, Peaceful Poppies Elements, a spool of Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon, card kits for a dozen cards and instructions for assembly.

A Horizontal Front Flap card

  What a cute idea for a card opening and I love the dual use of the Blooming Phrases stamp set. First let's do the folding of the card. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 8 x 6 3/4 being mindful of any pattern you have to consider, using a landscape orientation. Score on the left side and top at 2 3/4. Fold and gently burnish the left score line and make a tic mark as indicated. Now fold and burnish the top score line the same way, making the tic mark as indicated. To create the diagonal score, match the tic marks up on your paper trimmer and make the score, fold and burnish To create the fold, push the diagonal fold in and create the square on the top of the Designer Series Paper. Adhere this to the Daffodil Delight Card base. Now for the fun part, the stamping. On the Basic White square, stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
