Thanksgiving Sampler

I love creating themed samplers using Stampin' Up products and always on the lookout for a cute one to case. I spotted one last week on another Stampin' Up! demos website and gently CASED it for my collection. It uses a variety of current product I  will have listed at the bottom of the post. I used scraps of each color for all the die cuts.

The base of each square is a 3 x 3 piece of Early Espresso, the layers are 2 3/4 x 2 3/4. Here are each of the squares in detail.

I used a Black Stampin' Write Marker for the eyes and fussy cut the beak and waddle.

The double bow adds a nice touch.

The embossing folder makes all the difference on this square to give it depth.

I drew a circle on the center of the basic white layer and did first and second generation stamping for the pumpkins and stems.

The pilgrim collar was tricky, from the Stitched So Sweetly rectangle, I made a diagonal cut in the middle of each side.

I used the retired Little Letters Dies for the YUM, you could leave it off and add a second piece of pie. I created the dollop of whipped cream by crinkling a piece of basic white card stock until it split in two layers, put down Multipurpose Glue and scrunched a single layer down. Don't fuss with it long once it dries it will look like whipped cream.

Get out your watercolor pencils and water painter to color the leaves for this square. There is a piece of pale papaya shimmer paper behind the pumpkin die cut.

The farm girl in me love the wheat stems at the bottom of the square.
