Another Fun Way to Use Your Sale A Bration Designer Series Paper

I saw this idea and CASED it for you. I am calling the design Square Front Gatefold.

Measurements for the card are

  Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 12

  Card Stock - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

  Basic White - 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 and 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

Using the Paper Trimmer scoring blade, score the Designer Series Paper at 2, 4, 8, 10, for this card I used Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper. On each end measure from the top 2 1/4 and make a tick mark.

Put the edge of the Designer Series Paper in the Paper Trimmer lining the score and tick mark and cut.

Keep the cut piece, flip it over and attach to the bottom of the Designer Series Paper.

Make the gatefold, open and insert the Basic White Cardstock inside. Attach the colored Cardstock to the back to help firm up the card.

Gather ups the focal point of the card, I fussy cut the deer from the Peaceful Prints Designer Series paper (I did not get the punch, yet), stamped a sentiment from Poinsettia Petals in Versamark and covered with White Embossing Powder and used the heat tool. As long as I was fussy cutting, I cut this out also.

Layer the squares on top of each other, attach the deer and sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals,

Attach this piece to one side of the gatefold only.

You get an adorable card and have another way use put your Sale A Bration or any Designer Series Paper to good use.

Stamp and send a card, hope you already bought a roll of stamps since postage went up today.

Beautifully Penned Sale A Bration Freebie

I am lucky to have several packages of the Beautifully Penned Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper and wanted to use it in other ways than background paper.

Using Stampin' Up note cards;I kept the color palette simple, black, white and Gorgeous Grape. I used the flower die from Hand Penned Suite along with adhesive sheets to keep placing it on the card simple with no glue spots!! The black card stock was cut on the bottom with Basic Borders dies. I layered the cardstock, Designer Series Paper, ribbon and added Rhinestones to add a little bling.

Next, I played with the Blending Brushes and colored Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen ink, die cut a bunch of flowers. I embossed white cardstock with the Stitched Greenery die. Attached it and a piece of the designer series paper that was also colored with the Blending Brushes. I used Glue Dots to attach the flowers, topped them with In Color Jewels and added a sentiment.

Card Two added labels cut from the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper, strung them with White Bakers Twine, die cut a butterfly from Butterfly BrilliaCarnce. Added a sentiment and topped with In Color Jewels.

For Card Three I cut a scalloped circle from the Designer Series Paper and colored the flower with Cherry Cobbler Blends, layered it on a larger scalloped circle from Black cardstock. This was layered on Cherry Cobbler and Black cardstock topped with two pieces of Designer Series Paper and a sentiment.

The next for cards share a simple layout, card base, Basic Black layer (3 1/4 x 5 1/4) and Designer Series Paper layer (3 1/16 x 5 1/16). I selected Calypso Coral for the accent color, you could pick what ever you love. The Designer Series Paper for card one was colored the Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends, fussy cut one of the blooms and attach to the card front, top with Rhinestones.

I covered the Designer Series Paper with small blossoms and leaves from the Hand Penned Bundle

the last two of the card use the Art Gallery Bundle to stamp on the Designer Series Paper and create a focal point. Add Rhinestones and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

Finally get out your Daubers an assortment of ink that makes you happy and color the blossoms and leaves. Top the flowers with Wink Of Stella.

I used several sentiments from the Many Messages bundle, they are quick and easy to use; stamp once, die cut once, get 19 sentiments. I keep my in baggies so they are easy to use in a hurry.

Happy Stamping

A Bounty of Nature's Harvest Ideas

I took some time this weekend to look at ideas from other Stampin' Up Demos, that showcased the Harvest Meadow Suite from the August-December catalog.

Here are the beauties I found and CASED

Card One features Harvest Meadow Designer Paper Strips and the cone flower and sentiment stamped in Misty Moonlight and an adorable Bumblebee Trinket.

Card Two is on a Soft Seafoam base, layer of Evening Evergreen and the cone flower stamped in Evening Evergreen with circle Watercolor shapes stamped with Soft Seafoam and topped with the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon cut in half to get a thin pop of color on the card.

Card Three is on a Cajun Craze base, layer of Crumb Cake and Harvest Meadow Designer Series paper embossed the the Timeworn Type embossing folder to give it texture. A piece of the Cork Specialty Paper is layered with the "twig" die from Early Espersso and the Coneflower image, colored with Stampin' Blends.Topped with a piece of the Diamond Weave Ribbon. The sentiment is from Quiet Meadow. The Brushed Metallic Dots top off the card.

Card Four has a peek a boo element, I stamped the front of the Calypso Coral card with the  bloom image from Little Delight in Calyspo Coral ink, then punched using the Label Me Lovely punch, On the inside of the card add a Basic White layer, then stamp the bloom image in Crushed Curry in punched area, top it with the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink. On the card front add a piece of the DSP, a strip of Cork Paper and 2 die cuts one in Misty Moonlight and the other in Crushed Curry.

Card Five is a direct CASE from Stampin' Up Founder Shelli's blog, So Shelli. A lucky group of stampers recently got to make this card with her. The Crumb Cake card base has been embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing folder, she then cut a small piece of Shimmer White card stock, used a circle die to make a hole in the card stock, stamp the blur image in Crumb Cake ink on the lower right of the card stock. The wheat and the cone flower are die cut from Basic White. The wheat die was attached to the back of the Shimmer White and a piece of DSP added behind the die cut. On the right edge of the Shimmer White add a strip of Misty Moonlight and DSP. I colored the cone flower with the Water Painter and Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake ink. Tied a Linen Thread bow and attached it to the card from with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentement was stamped in Misty Moonlight on Crushed Curry and die cut and attached to the card with dimensionals.

The next card is my WOW I LOVE It, Crumb Cake base, Basic White layer embossed with the Timeworn Type folder, 2 inch strip of DSP. Wheat die cut from Cajun Craze and the flower on Basic White with Tuxedo Black, I colored with Stampin' Blends. I attached these to the DSP/white base and wrapped a piece of the Just Jade check ribbon from Flowers for Every Season around the card and tied a small bow with Linen Thread to pump up the cute look of the card. Lastly added the sentiment stamped in Crumb Cake.

These card both feature a Misty Moonlight base, Basic White layers embossed with Timeworn Type folder. Both has DSP used different ways, the card on the left has two piece of wheat cut from Cork Paper, the flower and sentiment stamped in Misty Moonlight and popped of the card with dimensionals. Added Brushed Metallic Dots and a bow from gold Simply Elegant Trim.

I flicked Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends on the Basic White and added the DSP used the Linen Thread to accentuate the division between the DSP and White stock. I then colored a piece of Basic White with Misty Moonlight ink and a Blending Brush, used the fern die from Quiet Meadow. To add a pop of gold I touched parts of the fern with Versamark  and sprinkled Heat & Stick powder on top. Heated it up and added Gilded Leafing, burnishing it to get a mottled look. The sentiment and die cut are from Quite Meadow, more Simply Elegant Trim and Brushed Metallic Dots.

The Misty Moonlight Base, Basic White and DSP provide a beautiful base for the twigs (basic white and Velllum), layer of Cork Paper and the cone flower die, add some Woven Diamond Ribbon, Simply Elegant Trim, Brushed Metallic Dots and a sentiment in Crumb Cake and you have a stunning card.

The final card is a pretty tone on tone look. Crumb Cake base and a Blackberry Bliss Layer. On a piece of Crumb Cake stamp the sentiment and cone flower image in BlackBerry Bilss then emboss with the Timber Folder. Wrap Linen Twine around the card twice, tie a knot add Brushed Metallic Dots, poof you have a simple stunner to send.
